Adding some colour to the autumn garden

Now that the summer is over the best way to keep your garden looking bright and cheerful is to start adding some lovely new plants to the borders and your containers! Autumn can be such an amazing season, with gorgeous earthy colours making an appearance everywhere you look-I love the different stages the leaves go through before finally fluttering to the ground!

Container planting is one of the best ways to add instant cheer on duller days and I love experimenting with different types of plants, to create a gorgeous display for the patio or front porch:)

Ornamental grasses and cabbages are abundant at this time of year in the local garden centres and they always make a great focal point in tubs.

Ivy and succulents are another favourite combination of mine and look beautiful when grouped together in wooden boxes or used for decorating as a table centerpiece:)

Hope you all enjoyed the gorgeous autumn sunshine today:)
