Shiny Moments...

Hi everyone, we hope you had a lovely Sunday :)

We say it every week, but what a quick one it was! Here's our latest 'Shiny Moments' round up.

Starting the week off with a lovely coffee morning with friends...

Delighted with my new silver grey cardigan from Marks and Spencer - a great piece to have for layering on cooler days :)

Aungier Danger donuts for breakfast at the Littlewoods SS16 launch!

It was lovely to get a glimpse of what's to come for the season ahead. I instantly fell for this floral maxi dress - perfect for holidays!

But for now we're still bundling up in our cosy layers....hurry up Spring!

Have a good week!

Silk Scarves...

For me a scarf is an everyday wardrobe essential and much as I love my big chunky warm ones for winter, I am so looking forward to adding a few new lighter versions to my collection!

I love the feel of a silky scarf and they are a fab way to add a little final finesse to any outfit. These are a few photos I love, to show how they can be worn in so many different ways:)

There are lots of different size squares and lengths available depending on how you want to wear your scarf! I love the little simple neck squares worn with a white shirt and blazer or to jazz up a plain knit jumper as in the first photo:) The longer styles look great tied loosely with a light coat or trench.

Thses are a few more pretties I have come across online...

Painted posy silk scarf from Accessorize

Bandana silk scarf from M&S available in two colours

or if you prefer a longer style scarf this delicate floral print is also available from  M&S

Stunning colours from Irish print designer Susannagh Grogan- a bit pricier than the high street versions, but a lovely investment and a fab statement piece to add to your wardrobe.

Hope you are all having a good week:)

Organic Surge

Those of you who follow me on Instagram will know that I'm obsessed with finding the next best skincare product - and today it's all about Organic Surge. A range that I've really enjoyed discovering over the past few weeks!

We went along to the Irish launch last month and received some lovely goodies to put to the test. I was instantly drawn to the face wash and, as I was in the market for a new one, decided to try that out first.

As the name implies, the range is completely natural and organic - and so gentle on the skin. I found it perfect for cleansing in the morning - it feels light, very refreshing and nourishing before applying make-up. I love an oil base and the rose geranium in this smells divine. It left my skin feeling soft and squeaky clean and most importantly, didn't dry it out at all.

All that for only €7.99! The range is available at Allcare pharmacies or online here

What's your favourite face wash? We'd love to hear in the comments below!

Shiny Moments

Happy Sunday everyone! How fast the weeks are going - just one week of February left and then we are into March! All we need is for a little Spring sunshine and warmth to appear and we are right!

Here are a few shiny moments from our week :)

Enjoyed some very lazy mornings as it was mid-term break this week :)

I love rediscovering pieces I have not worn for a while and I am also into simple pretty blouses at the minute. This one is an oldie from Penneys/ Primark but I intend to add a few more to my collection for Spring :)

I'm also loving really short haircuts but I have always been afraid to go too cropped at the back! I was delighted when I saw this photo on Pinterest - I love this cut and it is inspiring me to take the plunge for summer hair!!

We had a lovely evening with Ren skincare in House Dublin on Thursday night - this new eye brightening cream is amazing!!

I am looking forward to styling this fabulous grey Italian leather bag and scarf - a big thank you to the lovely Amber at Primp & Style for gifting them to me ...

My outfit for Friday night drinks with friends....

Finishing off the weekend today in style with Le Drunch at The Marker Hotel to celebrate my friend's birthday. I've been meaning to try it for ages and it didn't disappoint - the food was absolutely amazing!

We hope you all have a fabulous week ahead :)

Scents Of Spring....

Just like lighting a brand new candle, I adore opening a new bottle of scent! It can be so uplifting to wear a gorgeous perfume and I always feel a little under dressed or missing something if I'm not wearing some!

Here are a few new S/S 16 scents ....

Loving the girly bottle with the bow and Miss Dior is always a popular choice...

What a beautiful spring fresh  colour and simple design on this fragrance from Regime des Fleurs, and I am sure the contents smell equally divine....

Chanel Chance is hands down one of our favourites here....

Miller Harris is another firm favourite of mine- actually I was still sniffing the empty bottle just to inhale the scent when it was long gone- must replace it asap... isn't Mother's day coming up very soon?

This sounds lovely and with an added air of  femininity from Aerin

This blue Tom Ford bottle always reminds me of holiday time which hopefully won't be too long!!

A few of my own perfumes currently displayed on a glass dish on my dressing table....

Hope you are all having a good week:) Do let us know if you have any special fragrances that are worth a mention!

Shiny Moments...

Happy Valentines day!

A big bunch of red roses makes for a gorgeous start to this week's round up of Shiny Moments :)

It has been a week filled with sweet treats! On Thursday, we went along to the unveiling of the Swatch spring collection and were spoiled with these cute cupcakes.

More yummy cake on a quick day trip to Cork...

We also enjoyed a preview screening of a new Irish film, Shoebox Memoriesahead of it's exclusive debut at Dingle Film Festival. Pitched as a love story inspired by music, it certainly captured our hearts and we highly recommend checking it out!

My outfit for a birthday party on Saturday night......that turned out to be a surprise engagement party!! I'm so thrilled for my friend Nicole and her new fiancè - I can't wait for the wedding planning to begin :)

Enjoy the rest of your evening and have a great week!

Interiors:Decorating with Cacti....

Just like succulents I think the Cactus plant can look stunning used as a feature in any room! Another benefit and a major one at that if you are afraid of buying and nurturing plants, is the fact they are very hard to kill!
Apparently they can absorb and store huge amounts of water making them extremely hardy!

Here are a few lovely ideas I came across for using Cacti as part of your interior style....

Grouped together on a small corner table they can add a welcome pop of green against a plain background....

Black and white scandi style is having a major moment and a potted Cactus plant just finishes this monochrome look off so well ....

These simple white pots would look so pretty on a sunny kitchen window sill for Spring...

If you have a small courtyard or patio garden pop them all in a large ceramic pot filled with coloured stones-an instant uplift for the spring/summer patio...

Hope you are all having a good week:)

No longer reserved for the Pink Ladies alone, the bomber jacket is back with a bang this spring! From camo to floral, scuba to suede - there's plenty of choice in the shops at the moment. We love them worn open over a plain tee - perfect for elevating your everyday jeans!
