A Few Spring Beauty Favourites....

Good morning! It's a lovely sunny day here, cold but spring- like all the same! Now I'm no beauty expert myself and as I have mentioned before I can be very slap dash in that department, but with age comes the realization, that I will have to up my game a bit to keep looking presentable!

Anyhow I have a few new bits I love, so I thought I  might share them:)

I happened to be browsing in Brown Thomas the day Lancome launched their Juicy Shaker Cocktail lip gloss in store! I was asked by one of the assistants would I like to try it and of course as a lover of lipsticks in general, I didn't need to be asked twice! I thought it would be too sticky for me like other lip glosses and if I am honest more suited to younger girls/ladies, but it is actually the complete opposite, totally non sticky and it smells divine! I bought this coral reddish one but with 20 gorgeous shades to choose from, I will definitely be getting another!

I always love a new bottle of perfume for spring and this Chloe Love story I got for Mother's day is just perfect-I like the clean gentle floral scent.

The above products above are just two favourites I keep using at the moment-I love the instant brightening effect from the Ren beauty shot eye lift and the Glamglow mask is great for my winter dry skin! The hazards of feeling the cold and having the heating on in the house morning, noon and night!

This Charlotte Tilbury filmstar Bronze and Glow set is the best I have ever had!  I love the colour and texture of the bronzer for contouring and the highlighter gives a lovely soft luminous glow to the skin! I will have to play around with it a bit more to get the full benefits! Actually the teen is eyeing it up daily, so I might have to put it under lock and key somewhere!!

These are just a few bits I am loving this spring:) Do let me know if you have any firm favourites or new purchases you love!

We adore fresh flowers-especially a bunch of pretty tulips for spring...

Spent a lovely Good Friday afternoon in the Laduree cafe on South William Street, sampling some delicious macarons.....

I dressed up a pair of jeans with this off the shoulder top for dinner and drinks with the girls....

My yummy Easter egg- I love these Butlers milk Chocolate ones and the packaging is so pretty....

Finding a fab new cushion is always a shiny moment and this geometric design is great for €12 in Dunnes home.....

The reason we are so stuffed today- we had a delicious afternoon tea at home with family yesterday for Easter Sunday .....

Easter Style

The Easter break is finally here and we're so excited for an extra long weekend!
Today, we thought we'd put together a few outfit ideas as inspiration for whatever you are getting up to this weekend. Brunch dates, family dinners and lots of lounging are high on our agenda!

New Look Bomber Jacket | River Island Jumper and Jeans | Nike Runners | Michael Kors Bag

A bomber jacket is ideal for jazzing your jeans up for a casual brunch. I've just bought this New Look one in blush pink and can't wait to wear it. I love the grey one too!
Warehouse Top | New Look Pinafore | River Island Shoes | Topshop Bag

A pretty pinafore is perfect for Easter Sunday. Make the look even sweeter with a splash of floral underneath.

H&M Cardigan and Leggings | River Island Cami | Ugg Slippers

It wouldn't be a bank holiday without some luxe lounge wear! I love this oversized H&M cardigan paired with a silky cami and cosy slippers.

Have a fabulous Easter break!

Black Blazer....

I love a simple black blazer and I think they always look so stylish either worn casually or dressed up a little for an evening out. I had been on the hunt for a new one and spotted this style in Zara last week. The fit and length is perfect for me and I loved the ruched effect sleeve detail.

I have styled mine with a simple black relaxed t-shirt and my new Khaki sneakers also from Zara. I actually bought these for dog walking, but I think they are stylish enough for shopping or casual outings! I had a great conversation with a girl when we were looking at them in the store-my size was out of stock at the time but she took a pair as she was heading to New York and would be walking about quite a bit!

Sneakers |Zara

Faux Leather Pants|Vero Moda (old)

Hope you are all having a good week and looking forward to the Easter weekend:)

I am totally ignoring the rainy forecast I saw last night!!

Take Care:)

Fancy flats

Happy Friday everyone!
We're stepping into Spring today with some shoe loving in the form of lace up flats. Yes, I've written about them before...I'm officially obsessed. But it's great to see the trend is back in full force for another season. Below are some current faves from Penneys, Zara and River Island!

Penneys mustard flats | River Island blush flats | Zara cut out flats | Zara tan flats | River Island leopard flats

Perfect for dressing up a pair of jeans or wearing with a summer dress or skirt, these fancy flats will always make a statement...and they're so comfy too!

Here's how I recently styled my snakeskin pair from Penneys...

And a little more styling inspiration from our Pinterest boards...

Have a fabulous weekend!

Stripe loving....

I know that everyone loves a stripe top and if you're like me probably have too many, but sure don't we always find space for a newbie!! I was in Cos on Wicklow Street Dublin recently and of course my eyes landed on the one below-I think the button detail on the back sealed the deal and off to the checkout I happily trotted!

Silk panel strip top Cos €69

Here are a few more of my current stripey favourites....

Navy and Ivory Warehouse cutabout top @ Asos

H&M are always great for basic lightweight tops and good value for money too-loving the pocket detail on this

or this off the shoulder style would look fab for warmer spring/summer days and holidays....

Whilst looking for basic tees, I came across this lovely batwing style from La Redoute

These are just a few ideas and styles available for the new season ahead :)

Hope you are all having a good week :) Ours is a short one, as we have a holiday tomorrow for St. Patrick's day!

Take Care :)

Pinafore perfect

Happy Friday everyone!

We've already gushed about our love of dungarees this season and today's talk turns to their little sister - the pinafore dress. Seriously cute and perfect for off duty days, I'm obsessed with this style! From denim to cord, mini to midi, there's lots of lovely pieces in the shops at the moment.

I also spotted this soft pink number at the Dresses.ie Spring preview last week and I'm stalking it until it becomes available online :)

Are you a fan of pinafores? Let us know in the comments below.

Have a fabulous weekend all!

Some Easter Decor....

I love Easter as it kind of heralds the start of spring and of course not forgetting all the lovely yummy chocolate treats that go with it! Easter Sunday is rather early this year, so I hope some real spring weather arrives in time.

Here are  few inspirational photos I like to get the decorating juices going:)

A very simple and stylish table setting....

Kitchen decor idea-a group of these would look cool in a wooden bowl on the worktop....

Love the hanging eggs and soft colours in this display....

A very cute arrangement, I must get out my white bunny:)....

Hope you are all having a good week!

Take Care:)
