A few new wardrobe staples....

I love autumn and especially love to renew some basic staples at this time of year, even though it always requires a tight closet edit before I can see the gaps, and what I really need as opposed to buying on speck! I actually did a good clear out over the last few months (benefits of many a rainy afternoon), so I shouldn't have to spend as long organizing my space this time round!

Basic tops and shirts are always on my list so I discarded what was no longer needed and I have already replaced a few items with these pieces seen above ....

A white shirt is always a wardrobe winner and I love the tiny star embroidery on this one I purchased from Zara

I love denim especially something a little different, so I grabbed this Savida bow tie frill number in Dunnes as soon as I saw it! I know it is currently sold out online in every size bar a 16 so hopefully it will be restocked soon!

I can't resist a stripe and thought this lightweight knit from Zara also was good value for €15.95,perfect for now or layered under heavier knits later on.

After tops, my next purchases will be good fitting jeans-I have a dark skinny gap are and I also need a decent pair of black trousers. Loving some of the styles from Finery London lately.

Finery London

They  deliver to Ireland and have a fabulous range of well cut clothing. It reminds me of Cos which I absolutely love!

I have an a/w skirt sorted, as I bought the Alexa Chung for M&S grey pleated one earlier in the year, which was heavier material than I thought at the time, so this will work well  with basic crew neck jumpers, sweatshirts and ankle boots. I am also loving this New Look satin dark khaki one which would be fabulous dressed up with heels and a leather jacket for evening wear

I also have quite a few coats and finally filled my camel coat gap with a Selected Femme cocoon shape last year so I'm good to go on that front.

Oversized knits are my all time favourite as they double as a coat with added layers and scarves in winter:) My grey one from M&S was a fab buy last a/w, so I'm hoping to get a similar style in a different shade this season.

These are just a few ideas I have to start off a capsule wardrobe for the cooler months ahead. Looking at the rain outside, the knits might be appearing sooner rather than later!

Take Care:)
