Shiny Moments....

Happy Monday!
Hope everyone had a good weekend, its a lovely mild start to the week here and we hope it continues up to St Patrick's day on Friday!

 Here are a few of our recent Shiny Moments....

A quick work trip to Birmingham started the week off on a good note. Look at those candy coloured clouds :)

A surprise package from the lovely Amber at Primp and Style.....this grey suede and leather bag is divine and just perfect for S/S outfits.

A lovely bunch of daffodils from a good friend, flowers always guarantee to brighten the day....

Eyeing up all the jeans at the new POCO by Pippa pop-up store in Dundrum! I'm wearing The Slimmers here and I will definitely be investing in another few pairs, as they are only fab!! 

We had a lovely night at the school musical, watching our youngest perform in the show Anything Goes :) 

I wore this new wrap floral knit from Oasis with my faux leather skinnies from Vera Moda. Anne

Ending the week on a good note, with a fantastic yoga workshop on Saturday with moonsyoga at Oslo Health

Flower Power....

The floral trend is huge this spring, in fact it never really goes out of fashion and I for one love to see the new prints appear in store:)

 It lifts the spirits in a big way after a winter of wearing heavy woollen knits! 

These are some of my favourite floral picks....

You can't go wrong with a simple dress and this pretty spring bouquet wrap dress from Oasis fits the bill to perfection!

I also purchased this wrap lotus print top as it's a great fit, and I thought it would be lovely with culottes for a spring event or dressed down with daytime denims for a casual look.

Absolutely love this statement embroidered jacket from Zara - it would also look fab with leather skinnies and black strappy sandals.

This gorgeous sateen floral bomber jacket is on sale at Littlewoods Ireland at the moment for €32.50 A handy little number to give your wardrobe a quick spring lift!

Florals are also great for accessorising  spring/summer outfits and the colours are just beautiful in this bag from  River island.

Shiny Moments...

Happy new week and we are so happy to be almost into February! We hope everyone had a good weekend:) 

Here are some of our favourite shiny moments over the past few days:)

Spotted these stunning 'go with everything' sandals in Office during the week:) 

Both colours are divine and perfect for spring/summer outfits

A hike with friends in hailstones up the Dublin mountains over the weekend, the view at the top was well worth the trek:)

And of course the only way to warm up on the way home was to stop in for some hot mocha and coffees... 

Beautiful early morning winter skies as pretty as ever....

Finally enjoying almond croissants on national croissant day today! The beautiful mug was kindly gifted by the fabulous Irish company Love The Mug,  where you will find lots of other fabulous designs in their collection....

Shiny Moments...

Happy Monday everyone! At last it's getting nearer to the end of January :) We are so looking forward to some nice spring weather (well hopefully anyhow) and longer brighter evenings! 

Here are some of our shiny moments from last week :)

I hadn't been to Sophie's at The Dean for ages, so when it came to choosing a brunch spot, it was an easy choice...

Some of you may have seen that I blogged about this jumper on Friday. Well I only went and convinced myself to buy it mere hours later! 

A few people have asked me about sizing and I'd recommend going up a size if, like me, you like your knitwear a bit roomy! I'm wearing the medium here.

Interiors:Spring Colour

Once Christmas has gone by, I'm not really a fan of the winter anymore! Short, damp cold days and being stuck indoors a lot makes me tetchy and longing for a bit of spring warmth! So to lift the spirits a tad, I've looked to some of the interior and homeware stores to seek out a little spring colour and they did not disappoint! 

Here are a few favourites I found:)

Emerald green is a big colour for 2017 and I love the mix of shades here with the yellow

If your looking for unusual bits and bobs, Carolyn Donnelly @ Dunnes always has some lovely utensils and crockery to add an instant update to the kitchen or dining room. 

New bedding is always a lovely pick me up and these gorgeous florals from Next are just perfect for bright spring days ahead:)

Loving theses aqua tray tables from my favourite shop in our town at the moment, Meadows and Byrne ...the perfect shade to add a pop of colour to any room and also very versatile as they are so light to lift and move around quite easily.

Finally adding a little spring colour with some faux flowers is so easy, Dust have a great selection online to choose from!

Shiny Moments

Hello all!

Another weekend is coming to an end, but isn't January just flying by? 

We have been keeping busy with closet clear outs, meal planning, lots of walks and just taking time to enjoy the little things :)

Christmas countdown: Some festive table decor ideas....

 I  hope your all enjoying the Christmas festivities, and have most of the important planning for the big day well underway!

 I know everyone has their own ideas on table decor and entertaining, but here are a few pretty inspirational photos if your still looking for some last minute ideas...

Holly and tealights the perfect festive combination, no real effort required either which makes it even better!

Green and white never fails and the simplicity of this beautiful layout is a definite winner for me...

Just as an end note, if anyone is looking for plain tablecloths, I ordered two of the above from H&M and they are fab value for €12.99. I got a white and grey and took the larger size to fit my dining table.

The Christmas wreath....

Happy December everyone! The last and best month of the year has arrived and we are in full festive decorating mood here at Lustrous! For an easy seasonal update, you can't beat a gorgeous wreath hanging on the front door!

 If your looking to update your Christmas wreath, here are a few styles you might like ...
